Much needed help required!

What's the effect of worn reed valve petals on a tuned lambretta engine? I`ve got the carb settings to ball park figures but I'm struggling with it still feeling lumpy on pick up and occasionally cutting out for no reason?

Many thanks,

Paul Marshall

Could be, I had a broken one and the scooter wouldn't start.

Can you stick a camera down your manifold to check petals?
but I'd check electrics too, usual suspect

They should be good for a few thousand miles, how long have they been in? itll only take 10 minutes to remove them for a proper check

If reeds were broken it would be very difficult to start on the kick, they could be spit, but like someone says, just whip block out to check reeds visually.

The newest type Ducati CDI seem to have a rev limiter at around 7000 rpm, I found that out on a Vespa site and on the dyno when a pals Lamby hit a wall at 7000 rpm ish.
