Hi all,
Currently running a smallblock Mugello 200 with a JL3 and 26PHBH through a breathe sweet filter. Was thinking of going up to a 30mm PHBH but was wondering the pros and cons? Someone told me i will lose lower end power but gain more mid range?

You say "going up to a 30mm" but where are you starting from? What is the size and manufacturer of your current carb?

... says it's a 26mm PHBH ?
If jetted correctly it will match low down grunt and give better all round performance......with a better top end at the cost of higher fuel economy...

I get better fuel economy with a 225 and a 30mm than a friend does with a 200 and a 26mm.

What was the 28 like on the 186,I'm thinking of trying a 30mm on mine with the taffspeed copy exhaust,at the moment I've got a 26 mm with remote filter ,

I didnt really notice a massive difference on the 186 to be honest, but maybe that way down to my jetting. If you get a 30mm you can try it and if you dont like it,sell it on and put the 26 back on?
