Opinions on 30mm VHSH & Franspeed tourer set up

I have been running a Taffy replica with a 35mm Mikuni for the last few years. TS1 Engine with quite a heavy tune. I bought it that way with the Scooter.
Seems to drink the juice but goes well.
This season, I've decided to scrap the replica and I've purchased a Franspeed Supertourer.
I'd like to match this with a 30mm Dellorto and have the VHSH in mind.
I appreciate I will probably lose some top end but, I'm hoping the extra torque the Franspeed will give me will allow the lowering of the carb size?
Can you please advise if this is a good match and jetting requirements to start off at?
It will be dyno'd for final set up.

I'm thinking of fitting a franspeed race pipe to one of my TS1 engines mildly ported and fitted with a 32mm VHSH and a Taffspeed mk4 pipe.
Like you I have no real idea of the end result but I do expect the opposite with slightly less torque with a few more revs and more peak power, so a gear change is a certainty on mine currently running on 4.4-1.

I will be fitting a 60mm stroke crank in an attempt to try and keep some of the low down toque.

I would expect yours to run well on that setup but your gearing choice will help.

Mark.

So if its going to be set up on dyno why prat about trying to jet it yourself first?

Because I want to purchase a new one with jetting somewhere near the right ballpark.
I have been asked what my preferred jetting/setup is.
Then maybe only a slight change required such as the pilot (same as the RB, remember?) ;)
This instead of a full set of jets and maybe a needle.
