running std sil 200 eng on my gp......which i rebuilt, decent oil seals/bearings mec gp crank

but had couple heat seizes, bore/piston ok....been using wrong oil mixture.
wondering if using bigger or different carb would improve things....

Im unsure how using a bigger carb or any other carb will improve how you mix your oil?

is it a std sil barrel and piston ? is it a bored out 22 carb as a 122 main jet would be about right for a 22 but a bit on the small size for a 24 also indian top ends are a bit on the tight size so if thats what you've got it may be worth getting it honed out

Jettex aint great when bored out from standard size, Ive fitted a Dellorto 25 mm phbl on mine and works a treat.

Plus, recommended main jet for a SIL 200 & Indian big bore is 123. However, on this setup, I had minor heat seizes. Put 125 main jet in and no problems since. Don't know how you go on with it reamed to 24, but at least try a 125 main before scrapping carb. I run mine on 2% oil mix.

Original Dellorto SH2/24 carbs are using a 55 pilot jet,
main jet 130 minimum (128 at hot Greek weather)

I'm not sure why people persevere with Jetex carbs, it must only be 1 in every 4 that works properly. If you want standard looks and performance go with the remade [as per Dellorto] 22mm carb from Scootopia, UK made. Or for slightly better performance a Dellorto PHBL25, still run through an airbox for standard'ish looks.
