Yet another carb question

I have a S3 LI 125 with a 175 top end, clubman exhaust. It has a 22mm Jettex, 122 main, 50 pilot.
It seems very "woolly" at the bottom end, struggles to build revs until I presume the main jet kicks in but then still feels like it is holding back, not much above 50mph. So just hoping someone can advise as to whether the jetting is correct?
I've heard plenty say that standard Jettex's are not very good. Has anyone any experience with the modified Jettex
http://www.allstyles-scooters.com/acata ... _carb.html that are available?
Would the scootopia delly copy be better? http://www.scootopia.co.uk/product/7426 ... -22mm-carb

Any advise appreciated.
Sam.

Hi Samz
If you do a search on here there was a recent thread by "Andie" who has a similar set up to you and me.
I think the thread was entitled "175 cast iron kit" .
I think you will find it really helpful.
My main jet is a 126 the Jettex has the slide for a 200 .
I got a few jets to try when I bought the carb from Scooter restorations and then over a few days fine tuned it .
I went up 122 -124-125 -to 126 which is on the slightly rich side if anything .
I know people knock Jettex so maybe I was just lucky.
Hope this helps.

As Phil says, try a larger main jet.Check that your choke is closing and check that the float isn't sticking on the pin,if it is remove it,use a drill bit by hand and drill out the float and also check that it isn't sticking on the sides of the float,if it is,use a piece of wet and dry and sand the sides where the pin goes through.Your pilot jet is very large for a 175,try a 45 or 48.Also make sure that the jets you use are proper Dellorto, the jetex ones are a bit hit and miss.

Thanks for the replies folks.
Having had the carb apart the float seems to be moving freely. The jets are jettex so I think I'll get some dellorto ones and reduce the pilot size. Guessing the woolly feeling is it being too rich at the first part of the the throttle opening?
