Hi All

I read on here somewhere that raising the under seat air scoop by 10mm will improve air flow - sorry can't find the original thread. Does any one know if this will be of benefit as I've not heard of it before.

I have already removed the restriction in the scoop and the air box plus fitted a BGM filter.

LI150 - 175, Jetex 22mm, clubman exhaust.

Cheers.

Welcome to the forum.

Never heard of that one.

The common modification to the scoop on SIII models was to remove the obstructed hole within the scoop. On the GP200, this was not cast into the scoop so does not need removing.

Many lower-spec bikes have air boxes with narrow necks, and whatever mod you do to the air-scoop may not benefit the engine if the air can't get past the neck of the air box.

Again, later spec models had less restrictions (wider neck), and I think that one of the German dealers have remade the air box with various improvements to help it breathe (probably long overdue)
