Hi.
I have just picked up a new motor built on a Jet 200 casing, its got an AF 6 plate clutch, and I have been told it has Spanish 150 gears I need to check the sprocket I intend on running it with a PM tuning pipe. its got a LTH reed valve on, no cut outs in the piston ( this I have checked ) but have heard of others running without. It has a 107/58 crank, again this I have been told.

What are your thoughts?

No carb yet.

Cheers Shane.

Is it the Later Spanish LI 150 Gearbox as that may be an issue with the 3/4 jump on a Tuned motor

I've been told its from a Winter model, I have an Italian 1 at hand, would a GP 200 not be more suited?

i would expect to gain some performance with holes in the piston, not much but it does also cool the piston more which is an advantage, you can put the holes in your existing piston, i would also add if it hasnt got one, a boost finger port to the inlet port, very much like what a ts1 inlet is like, but you must check where the ring pegs are and put the port between them so the rings dont snag in the port.

Cheers Holty.
I had that about cutting the holes in the piston and as I have the piston removed i may well do it ( same as the Imola holes? )
