32mm Crown Height. 66mm Piston Options?

Postby GExS » Wed Oct 07, 2020 1:46 pm

What options have I for a piston ported 32 crown height, 66mm piston? I can’t find an old Suzuki ones and MB are out of stock for their remade ones?
I’m thinking other Jap bike pistons or other types might work but which ones?

I think I have what you are looking for, and I am as surprised as you.

I have an ultra rare Autisa RD125 upgrade piston of 66mm with 32mm crown height.and two 1mm rings. There is a gudgeon pin too. NOS.

The only down side is that there is a single port in the skirt for a reed valve engine, but this can be welded-up like we used to weld-up the windows in the skirt of the Yamaha pistons for Group four engines back in the 80’s. I can get the welding done for you.

If you are interested, pm me. Send me your email address and I can send photos. I know it is very rare, but it isn’t really worth that much as I don’t imagine anyone has an RD125 with an Autisa barrel fitted, so make me an offer.

It looks as though you are sorted, but I've just recalled that I have a Wiseco 2 mm oversize TS185 piston but cannot remember the full specification as it is now. It was briefly used in a ported iron cylinder so it too may have been flowed etc.

Apparently the oversize is available after all, if that is what you really want......

(I only make the point so that other Forum readers can have some reassurance should they require precisely what was the subject of the original Post) :D

My Autisa piston is still available if anyone fancies it.
