I wonder if Warkton Tornado No.1 ever went forward with this ?
Not for the moment, though the project is still very much in mind.
Some may recall that I also intimated that I had a solution in mind for the issue of mis-positioned machine holes - predominantly within the Indian produced crankcases - for which work is still in hand. This particular Post may not be the most suitable for it, but I believe an explanation may be long overdue….
It was my intention to consider the feasibility of applying a patent for the brake pivot solution & I endeavoured to discuss that with the only person that I am aware of - within the field of producing Lambretta ‘enhancing’ products - but I still await any response to my initial request….
Regardless to there now being a solution on the market, with my son’s encouragement & help in the production of 3D printed prototype models, I am confident that my own idea is clearly valid - as proven, it would appear, by the launch of the aforementioned product already for sale - so will forge ahead. Whether the application of eccentrics - with shims - is a better solution than that I intend will inevitably come down to customer choice
