Lambretta 6v -12v conversion

Hi all i,ve just been reading all the posts about getting better lighting on my 1963 Li, The trouble im having is i,ve moved from London to Llandudno (north Wales ) the nearest shop to me only sells modern twist n go scooters, and they said they wont touch Lambrettas (i think they dont have the knowledge) so im looking for advice how to go about getting brighter lights (and louder horn) i dont have a clue how many pole my scooter has) so any help would be grateful, i dont know anything about electrics (would be even better if anyone lives near me to come and show me how to do some stuff on my Lammy) before i moved from London my scooter used to always start by the 2nd kick, but know its not, i read on another scooter shop forum that moisture and humidity around different parts of the UK can affect scooters, so all help and advice welcomed Thanks.
