Poorly made Mugello manifold

Postby Tractorman » Tue May 17, 2016 6:20 pm

I'm trying to fit a Mugello 200 kit and PHBH 30 carb kit from Cam Lams but have come up with a problem when fitting the manifold. The nut on the longer stud is that close to the manifold you can't get a spanner/socket on. It looks like you could use a cap screw but not one in the kit. Took it back to Cam Lams and the best they could come up with is grind away the manifold until you can get a spanner on the nut. Yet another example of poor quality parts but I did expect more from Mugello.

I seem to remember having the same problem and having to put 3or 4 washers under the nut but I didn't like the look of it so ended up buying a MB one which also gave me more clearance against the panel .but I agree it's a liberty with the cr@p we have to put up with !
