Postby steve chapman » Sun Apr 30, 2017 9:15 am

Fitted a reedspeed 5 plate clutch in my gt200 , and thought it would be a good ide to fit some mb springs at the same time
but find the clutch is heavy er than i would have liked , my question is before i open up the engine again , are the reedspeed ones any lighter ,, or am i wasting my time, regards Steve

The MB ones have had a fair bit of thought put into them and I didn't find them Too heavy but did use a dog legged lever. Some levers can actually be the cause of a heavy clutch, the distance between the anchor point for the cable and the lever pivot will determine how heavy it feels. I have just modified my lever with a dremel to move the anchor point inwards by about 3/8" and it made a huge difference to my AF Road clutch.
