SS 200 vs RB 20...?

With a load of juggling, & identifying a bunch of stuff to sell, I may very well (& most unexpectedly given my summertime blues...) be finding myself in the position of choosing between an SS 200 (not necessarily fully r&d'd, but with a possible discount if bought before the 31'st of Oct...), or an, as I've been advised by some, the tried & tested RB 20 for the reanimation of my 'town ped' ... Does anyone out there perhaps have some real world experience to help me with this decision? All feedback gratefully received (sadly the Quattrini option is beyond my means...) with many thanx in advance!

The RB is certainly tried, tested and proven Andy, going by what the race boys do with them and nicely priced too I'd say ;)

I've got a tuned RB20 that I've done some 1/4 sprinting with but even with a race exhaust it still runs fine around town. The production class RB20s are all out of the box kits with no tuning allowed and there's been hardly any failures on the track in 2 full seasons of mainly full grids.

I notice the total lack of SS200 replies. Is any one using this kit?
I know the SS225 is a great bit of kit

Last one I seen was at Wicky last weekend, fella was looking £100 for it after it shat itself with less than 100 miles on it

Well thank you gents, the consensus seems to be overwhelming... While attracted by the sheer hooligan appeal of the SS 200, real world factors inevitably win out, RB20 it is then :D

Don't forget that these are "out of the box" kits. They can always be tuned if this isn't fast enough for you. :D :D :D

This is our British BSSO Championship winning RB20 production class around 23bhp, no tuning, just bolt on as per regs, the motor is 4 yrs old and been thrashed at every major circuit in the UK, 30+races this season alone and still going strong, this is the last race of the 2019 season, against some 30+bhp group 4's,

Hope all goes well. I'm booked in at Rayspeed for the engine build early next year

Doing the overtime even though yonks ago, once I stopped working in hotels, I said I'd never EVER! work w.ends. Oh well means to an end & everyone's a hypocrite eh... The plan is to reanimate 'Somethings missing' Jet Set 194. My pipe of choice (thanks to DSC Scotty, I'll be back in touch in the new year ;) ) is the CST4 , being a cut down that it's going on a full frame pipe (anything beyond the rear wheel) will look proper wrong on a cut down, any ideas (angles/dimensions) peeps? Ta loads!
