Exhaust and gearing suggestions

Okay, so I have a standard TS1 (60x110 230) with AF Clo5e 35t 18x47 4.81 fd and franspeed Super Tourer...goes great pulls well even up hill to about 7500+ rpm...

Here’s the question... the super tourer has had it, been grounded out and re-welded to the point it needs replacing... I have a new chiselspeed CST 7 pipe (bought for another project) which I’ve tried with the above gearing 4.81 fd but it just won’t pull it and can’t get on the pipe...Af recommend 4.9 Fd for the Fran Race, Assuming the CST 7 is similar, is it worth the expense buying Af 6 plate 46t crown wheel and 17t sprocket and a new chain to try 4.9... or is it likely that my standard tune TS1 doesn’t have enough power to pull the CST 7 whatever the gearing ?

Any other suggestions for the best pipe for this setup?

Cheers Guys

I know where there's an AF 48mm TS1 clubman going cheap. :D

Would pull that gearing no bother.

Well going by chiselspeeds website the 7 doesn’t come on song until 6000 rpm so I’d just buy 17t front sprocket, 82 pitch chain giving u an fd of 5.09 with the AF box. A lot cheaper than forking out for a 46t rear sprocket assuming u can’t buy it separately.

I'm a big fan of the CST3, my 225 Mugello with reed valves pulls 4.6. If I was building a TS1 with an 35T AF 5 speed I'd look at 18 x 46 sprockets giving 4.71 final drive. I think the CST3 will pull that easily, you'll hit the wall at about 7500 rpm but you'll be doing a genuine 75mph anyway by then. Heard of several engines that felt totally transformed by this pipe, TS1, RB250 and GT240 among them.
