TSR EVO Rear Bracket

Ive fitted a TSR evo to the Li240, but the rear panel fouls the exhaust can support bracket. If bend the panel inward to miss the bracket, the panel will then catch on the upper bracket extended chain case bolt.
The question is - would it be OK to cut the bracket down and only use the lower bolt to hold the bracket???? or do I need to get a special bracket made to use two fixings, ie the next anticlockwise one?
Does anyone else have this issue with the TSR EVO? What other solutions are there?

What about putting more preload on the shock provided it’s an adjustable type !!

Steve.
If I were you I would get 1 made and use the lower studs to keep the strength.

I left mine off altogether. I understand that Darrell Taylor does the same with the modified ones that he sells.
He also welds an extra strengthener between the second cone and the tail can flange and replaces all the nuts and bolts with better quality items. The original style exhaust flange is also too long, but the TS1 item is ok.
I also did a modification to the central bracket, but I can’t remember why. Probably to make it easier to tighten the bolts.

Thanks for the replies
Ref the exhaust flange - I had to cut the pipe and flange by about 12mm to get a fit...the pipe didn’t line up with the holes on the hanger.
This is really annoying- with a bit more thought these issues could be eliminated at the design stage. What’s the point in making parts that don’t fit ?
I’m beginning to regret buying this pipe now - I hope it makes a positive difference on the road.

My TSR pipe came with two exhaust hanger brackets with different options for the position of the holes. Having said that, I did have to alter my bracket but I put that down to an combination of long stroke and packing plates. You can’t build an exhaust for all circumstances, I suppose.
It is a good pipe for low down torque, and we all like a bit of that.

I haven’t got both original brackets to compare, but from memory it was about 10-12mm difference.
I hope that makes sense, and is helpful

Oh. Mine were definitely different.
Perhaps you need to make a call to your supplier, as he may have another pair of plates at his end (but different to yours).

Here is the bracket I had made - fits perfectly and doesn't hit the side panel now.......
