Stainless TSR EVO exhaust

Postby ladsdad » Mon Jan 04, 2021 10:31 pm

Hi all
Is anybody using the stainless steel version of the TSR EVO?
Apart from obviously the material used is there any difference between that & regular mild steel version. Anybody using one?
It's not for me, as I shy away from shiney stuff, as usual I'm asking for a friend.....
Cheers Mark.

I believe there Were a few fractures on the early TSR’s of the stainless version a couple I remember were at the Lincoln national a few years ago so may have improved since then , Fred runs a stainless one on one of his GP’s been good so far

Stainless expansions are very prone to TIG weld fractures on a lammy. They survive better if rubber mounted but the overall lifespan seems to be no better than mild steel.
Also, the resonance characteristics of a stainless chamber design is different to a physically identical mild steel one, which often gets overlooked..
