Offset Engine Cone Problem or is It ?

I have had a vibration issue since fitting my SST 265 engine to my Italian GP frame and after ruling out all the usual causes have narrowed it down to the silent blocks or engine cones.
After removing's the engine yesterday I had a good look at the cones supplied and the original ones I had fitted when running my previous engine. The new ones supplied by CASA are the offset cones ,which whilst they are the same angle as my old cones they are shorter,ie:they do not have a shoulder. although both types sit flush when fitted by hand to the engine tube, I am wondering if the offset cones are pushed further into the engine tube as a result of pressure from the silent blocks when tightening the engine bolt.

Out of interest now I have removed the CASA silent blocks from the engine pending arrival of some BGM blocks, I am going to put them on the engine bolt and mount them on the frame, without the engine, if you get what I mean see if I can see anything out of the ordinary.

And the verdict is ........... offset cones do do go into the frame tube any further than the shoulder version.
Oh well hopefully the BGM silent blocks will do the trick.

Yes, sorry, should read they "do not go into the frame tube any further than the shoulder version".
Fitted the BGM silent blocks tonight, too late to give it a try, I will give it a run tomorrow, weather permitting.
