I have just fitted a jl3 with a scooter loopy rear alloy mount, lovely quality, my question is do i use the cotton reel or a bracket.I used the rubber cotton reel , but it moved a lot, so i made a nice bracket from 5mm alloy plate to fix it solid , what would be best please.
Thanks Ian :?

I tried it with the large hexagonal rubber cotton reel, but it bounced around too much, so I build a new bracket and bolted this to the SLJ tripod, and then used a nylon bush (as used elsewhere on the JL3) to secure this to the tailpipe.

This has reduced the amount of movement in the tailpipe and hasn't split the pipe or bracket yet.
