Hi just wondering is a 9:5 skimmed cylinder head a bad idea on Ts1 now that modern fuels have more ethanol content & also with impending change from E5 to E10 fuel due in towards the end of the year? thanks for any info. Cheers

IMO that is a good, safe geometric CR for now & I would wait & see before making changes. That ball park with the optimum squish, Super unleaded & about 19° BTDC is the current set-up on an extensively re-worked TS I did.

1.0 mm squish in this case, DT250 piston re-pegged, 60 mm stroke.

Thanks for your reply, I would be fitting it to a standard 225 ts & std piston, no tuning , just a 3mm packing plate as its running an rd 110 rodded crank, timing is going to be set at either 17 or 18 degrees. Cheers

if you're that worried bud go for a HComp Mammouth AF's head (or Avanti, other heeds are available  ) makes your piston coolio 8-)
