I have both and it depends what you are after.

My experience only

TS1 - good rally comfort and flexible low down torque with reasonable top speed (enough to keep with the crowd)
RB22 - sluggish with a 4 speed box at revs under about 5K having to change down a lot, then - bang rips your arms out up to 80mph plus

The RB22 with a 5 speed box would be interesting

When RBs and TS1s are talked about its always about performance.I'd like to know what sort of mileage can be achieved from these kits.I have a Casa 185 kit with a Jettex carb running through the air box and it consistently returns over 100 miles per gallon.Granted my scooter only does about 60/65mph,but if your travelling about 250 miles you dont need something thats only doing about 25mpg.

Ah the age old debate about mpg,

A rb kit costs £500
A decent crank £200 plus
A decent pipe £250 plus
uprated clutch £200 plus
maybe a ron moss head £160
decent casing £300
decent electrics £150 plus
and all the other high quality parts to go with it. It costs a lot, if youre worried about mpg dont buy one!

So this is a post for people with lots of cash and bottomless pockets.

I think if you were to check your speed with a GPS you'd be surprised, my 186 Mugello would only do a tad over 60mph (gps) on a good day with a tail wind, 50-55 was about all it would manage loaded. I've had to go up to an Avanti and TS1 to be able to pull those speeds consistently (head winds and loaded up). 250 miles is a bloody long way at 45-50 mph although granted you wouldn't have to stop as often for fuel ;)
