I have just built an RT230 engine and have got myself a JL3 exhaust.
Is there any issue if I fit the exhaust onto the engine ahead of engine fit into frame (its a 1990 SIL GP150 frame)
Last question the spring on the JL3 exhaust, manifold end , does that go fly wheel side?

try to make sure the stub sits neat inbetween the fins
check gasket to port, trim / file to suit
check stub to gasket, file / grind to suit.
try and fit 2 springs from stub to exhaust body, its an area you don't notice till exhaust blows or drops off
