Just setting up my Mugello 225 and need some ball park carb settings.
Here is the current spec
Mugello 225 , dellorto phbh 30mm, jl3 exhaust. Timing set at 25°btdc and retards back to 17°
Current carb settings
50 slide.
Choke 70.
Idle 55.
Needle x7 .
Atomiser av268.
Main is 124...I think, anyway in the ball park.

Starts and runs but feels a sounds a bit boggy just reving from idle on the stand. Think maybe come down on the atomiser to 266 or 264 and stay on the x7 needle.

Any thoughts?

AV266 Simon same as my GP but with a Taffy mk4, and pilot too big imo. Always had mine on dyno and never had more than a 52.

Had a 50 pilot and an av264 on stock so tried them....much better but will swap the idle for a 52 as suggested as it's now not enough . Thanks Rich for the info.
