Hi all

I want some louvres stamped into my GP side panel

Anyone know of a sheet metal workshop that could do this?

Something like this

Cheers

I have just had an aircraft fitter cut some dimple holes in a pair of panels , i am sure he could press some louvres for you ,

Send me a pm and i will have a word with him .

An alternative would be to cut out the area and weld in some louvres.
I was planning on doing this a few years ago with the panels from an old amplifier, but didnt get round to it.
Might be easier to find a decent welder and then fill in to make a smooth interface.

I did exactly that with a pair of GP panels using the louvre tools in a fly press at AW Sheet Metal. The panels were subsequently painted up by KAS Racepaint but never used. They hang up in my garage.

I expect you want a photo of them now

So with many thanks to WTN1 who provided me with a great set of panels, expertly ready louvred, here are the pics of them repainted. They’ve just had a few coats from a rattle can in the shed - I’m pleased with the results and after a few ride outs they’ll start to look worn like the rest of the scooter . It will be interesting to see what they contribute to cooling the long run temps

Thinking about those panels now, they probably were originally from a UK ‘J’ registration 125 so that would have been the colour back then.

I’m pleased they’ve gone to a good home :D

The frame & enough to make up a complete project will be going up to York for my son in due course……
