I have an RT195 cylinder kit , which today I have fitted the supplied cylinder studs to my engine casing.
I've gone to slide on the new cylinder for a dry build. To find it not want to enter the spigot area of my crank case.
It seems very tight on the supplied cylinder studs .

I'm interested to hear if anyone else has had this problem & how to solve the issue ?

The last kit I fitted came with thinner studs but some still have the thick ones. As you slide the cylinder on it will go tight and upon removal you should see some marks in the cylinder stud holes. You need to drill the holes slightly bigger to around 10 mm depth or so then the cylinder should drop down.Or you could change to thinner studs.

Out of curiousity , I removed the fat cylinder studs completly. Then offered up my RT kit to my Innocenti DL150 casings.
To find the spigot to be such a tight interference fit I struggled to assemble without using force . Not good.
When I get a moment, I will apply some fine grinding paste and bed in the spigot area of my cylinder to the casing mouth area to free up the tightness.
I also dry built the cylinder to my casings using standard cylinder studs ( thinner dia studs ). Which allowed a bit of wiggle room for the spigot to line up with the casing mouth (although it still feels slightly on the piss ) Most annoying.

So where can I obtain the correct length , (THINNER ) cylinder studs for an RT 195 kit, anyone ?
Being that a standard cylinder stud is shorter that those supplied with an RT kit. What are people using in this situation ?

The p200e (maybe all large frame vespa but I'm not certain) ones are thinner as they're waisted. I think I bought mine from Darrell Taylor to resolve a similar problem caused by Indian casings.
