S2 outboard disc brake

Hi I'm fitting a scoots rs disc brake to a S2 and routing the hose up the forks but can't get the hose past the headset clamp. I've removed the banjo's and it looks like the hose body itself would be ok its just the nut that the banjo attaches to. Only options I can see is to remove the headset clamp and route the hose then re-build the headset. Anyone come across this before and any ideas.

Are you using the rubber hose that usually comes with these?

Personally when I did mine I dumped it and built my own hose, that way it was just a matter of threading the hose then attaching the banjos I wanted to use at either end.

Hi no its a Venhill hose, ive removed the banjo's but still can't get the nut past, I assumed the nut the banjo fits too is crimped to the hose.

Ah, I don't know then Im afraid, I didn't use a venhill, i used a kit I made up off a reel of stainless braided hose.

Hmm you may well have to loosen off the headset clamp to get it through then, unless anyone else has used that hose and found another way?

Hope you get it sorted though mate, it'll be worth it in the end. :D

Hi Chap...how did you route it through, and around the headset ? Had to virtually double mine back to and around the throttle whell, then down past the clamp... wondering what routing you took ? Cheers

I got one a couple months back from Buzz Solomoto, he's out of stock of the anti-dive version but seems to have the standard versions in stock, you just specify which switch housing you want on checkout...
