Just got lightened flywheel with bgm electronic kit only trouble is my old flywheel was long finned new one is short do you think this will cause a problem with avanti kit also do I need a new flywheel cowl any advice welcome

The short fin flywheel will not cause issue with the Avanti BUT you will need to get hold of a cowling that was designed for use with the short fin flywheel. If the fins are not reasonably close to the cowling then it does not circulate air efficiently.

Just to add to, I'm pretty sure that the Indian long fin flywheel that was introduced to later models to aid cooling, actually didn't do anything. Read/ heard somewhere that tests were done which showed this? My long finned ones I've had shortened and machined to mid weight by AF anyway. Cheers,Speedy.
