volt meter fitting
Posted: Wed Aug 19, 2015 8:07 pmI'm going to fit a volt meter to my dc serveta lynx. My question is. is it best to wire it in to the output from the regulator or the input to the battery. cheers, Gary

Absolutely correct, it doesn't matter where you connect the volt meter, any switched live will do and earth. If you connect it to the regulator or battery it will be reading all the time.

Posted: Thu Aug 20, 2015 2:52 pmthanks for your replies now I'm probably going to answer my own question. option 1, if I connect it between the regulator and the ignition when the engines not running ignition off the batteries isolated so the volt meter will be off. option 2, if I connect it between ignition and the battery it will be on all the time so I'm best to use option 1?
