Replacement JL end piece. older type.

Hello All,

I have a JL exhaust approx. 12 years old. My endcan is the older type which is riveted on. The end can is falling apart, so no problem I thought, I ordered a new type end piece to suit a bolt on muffler.
However the fitting is different and will not work with my old exhaust, i.e my old exhaust has a female end and my old end piece has the corresponding male end. But the new end piece has a female end which obviously is not compatible with a female exhaust.
I don't recall ever seeing the end pieces advertised as male or female? Does anyone sell the male end pieces?

Thanks All

Thanks Jonoy, Andy Francis has the male end piece listed for a Franspeed ( made by JL I know), although it looks like what I am after.
I will give him a bell and see if it will fit a JL.

Cheers

Hello Shane,

No, I am after the part that the silencer bolts on to. However I rang Readspeed and they have the male fitting that I am after, they are sending me one out on trust.
I will need to return the female fitting. Good service me thinks!

Cheers

I know what you're on about, my end can support brkt on my 2nd hand Franny tourer snapped, borrowed a Franny super tourer bracket off my mate & had the same problem as you, there seams to have being a design change regarding the male/female directions, resulting in non-compatability in parts
