Welcome to the forum, Dale.

I am unfamiliar with this kit, but I feel obliged to ask if there were any fitting instructions with the kit? If not, you have to ask why not?

If there are instructions for setting up a standard engine, and your question is more to do with "what setting should I use for my non-standard engine", initially I would set it up as standard if only to prove that the kit works. You can then fettle it a little to suit the RB, based on feedback from others.

It is quite hard to hurt an engine at tick-over speed, even if it is not quite the right timing, so perhaps just prove that the Casatronic kit works (I'm not implying that Casatronic kits don't work)

I normally set the up around 23 BTDC @ tick over, my own preference is to have them running at around 17'-16'-BTDC at cruising speed between 6500-7000rpm depending on gearing, pipe -set-up etc, then retarding to say 15'BTDC 7000-8500 if the motor will rev that high. I'm not to bothered at what its doing at tick over more at what its doing at higher rpm. I use the CASA Vari-tronic on both my road motors and have fitted several others a great piece of kit imho.

Here's a link that may help you

Thanks for your replies guys, Martin there are instructions with kit and a video on you tube on how to fit them and they are a very nice bit of kit it was that I was just unsure as where to start from as a base setting to get the timing right for cruising ect which has been explained so now happy bunny. Many thanks again for your replies
