Corrected compression ratio

Can anyone tell me if 6.5:1 is a safe corrected comp ratio.

I recently measured the Avanti head I have fitted to my RB225 and found it had combustion chamber volume of only 19cc. Trapped head volume was 20.5cc which gave uncorrected 12:1 and corrected 7:1.

I've removed a bit of material and I'm now at 6.5:1 corrected.

By my reckoning, your geometric compression ratio is 11.14:1.

IMHO the maximum should be 10:1.

Others may disagree, though.... ;)

Spot on WT1

I took another cc out to get to 10:1 and 6:1
