Just fitted the road version to my s2 li ts1 225 can't fault the clutch on the road but when stationary I engage 1st it's a struggle to get it back to neutral,cable checked and seems ok,has anyone else had this problem if so how did you cure it or is it clutch out and fine tune it.

Very fine adjustment on these to get perfect, great when set

What sort of adjustment do mean jimmers

if you have the engine running, and you put it in first, it is difficult to get it back into neutral. Correct?

If youhn switch the engine off with the scooter still in gear, does it pop back into neutral with ease?

If so, this indicates clutch drag. If not, then I would suspect the adjustment of the gear cables.

Also you may need to take the casing off and put a clutch compressor on it to see if the clutch is clearing when screwed In, sometimes you may need to remove 1/2mm from the end of the cluster to allow more travel on the clutch centre push rod this will eliminate any drag! if your a bit unsure give me a call 01228 675187 and I will talk you through it.

Thanks chaps for all your help,all sorted, slight adjustment to gear cables and slips into neutral without to mutch effort, I think it will get better the more I use it ,cheers and thanks.

I have exactly the same issue after changing from standard clutch to AF clutch while changing my RT195 piston.

If I adjust clutch to bite about 1/2 way through clutch lever release it wont allow me to select neutral with engine running. Tightening cable to allow neutral selection, the clutch then bites far too close to the end of lever release and the kick start also appears to show clutch slip when kicking the engine over.

When adjusted correctly, and with the lever fully pulled to grip it should not be binding as the clutch isn't biting until about 1/2 way through lever travel on release.

My road clutch doesn't drag or slip but it is a bit snatchy when slipping it, A little bit like some Vespas anyone have any thoughts?

How much seperation should we be looking for.
And whats the hieght of a new stack of plates and steels?
