How much, or little, space is needed beneath the pressure plate so it doesn't touch the sprocket?

I am trying to fit lots of plates into a modified Atomic clutch sprocket, and this measurement will help me decide what combination of plates and steels i can accommodate.

All Atomic components.

What is the minimum space I need below the pressure plate when the clutch is engaged? It must be a consistent figure regardless of the components.

I think 1.5mm is the minimum, any less and it will bind especially when hot. I have always worked to that figure with 5 plates and not had slip but it would drag enough when warmed up to require getting it in neutral before coming to a stand. I had to use an SIP lever in the end which worked for a while but when it started slipping I bit the bullet and bough an AF road clutch.
