Some of the Yam levers are far too long and look odd to me sticking out 2" past the bar ends, these tend to be shorter http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Clutch-Lever- ... SwN81WCyUn

I agree.... I use a modified Yamaha SR125 lever which is a tad long but it makes for a really nice clutch feel.
Wack.... How much fettlin is needed with that YZ lever?....... I'm gonna try me one of those.

TBH I can't remember as I did one a few years ago. Some have a larger pivot pin hole so I think I used the MB pin but I've also fitted sleeves as well.

Anyone got a measurement between lever and housing? I nodded the lever but it won't pull in enough to disengage the clutch.

I think I know which measurement you require, but I don't have one to measure for you as I type. I can see that if you don't modify the lever enough, it will fit, but not pull enough cable. Have a look at the photo on the MB website. They sell the levers with modified housings, and your should look much the same (angle) as those in the photo, even if you have done the modification arse-about-face.

I modded the housing for my new GP last night to the same spec as my current scooter, and it went well, but you do have to remove a surprising amount of material from the housing.

Thanks knowledge Ive found a pic on the Ginger stepchild build, with the amount needed to be removed marked out. Basically the cut is parallel with the handlebar.
Ive messed up the lever btw ,the pivot point is difficult to line up, but £5 is better than £15 to waste. The standard large ball end lever actually is quite good and will stay on for now.

Hi ,
It's just the housing to modify so the lever works. It's not difficult just take your time.
