TSR Evo Pipe

Hello there, my ol' beauties! As my rebuild is now almost never ending, and I need to get the bloody thing on the road soon, I am here to ask some advise.....again!

I have got a TSR Evo pipe, through Ron Moss, from Darryl Taylor. It comes with no bracket that would fit behind the end can. It is simply not supplied with one, and Ron says it does not use one.

Has anyone else got one, and do you run it without an end bracket? The end can simply bolts onto a 3 bolt flange, there are no springs. It also looks really beefy around that last little kink before the can. Does anyone run an expansion exhaust without a rear bracket? It is possible? I have only had Clubman style exhausts, so this is a bit new to me.

I don't want to ride it and break it. I await your soothing words of comfort and support

my mate has one of these exhausts, he bought it a month ago , his is the stainless version and came with a rear support that fits between the pipe flange and can, his footboard needed trimming to clear the pipe and its quite close to the rear panel but shouldnt be an issue, ive seen a few of these exhausts snapped but it may have been down to fitment issues, i know darrell sells a lightweight rear can to reduce stress on the pipe, carbon i think, performance wise, a good buy, if i was fitting one i would buy the rear support, or make one, belt and braces as they say.

I have one fitted without the end can support and have done a few thousand miles now without a problem. Maybe I've been lucky but the support fouled the panel and I didn't want to cut anymore off my scooter.

Have just ordered another EVO from Darrell Taylor for another scooter and won't bother with the tailcan support on that either.

It's really up to you, if you can fit the extra support without fouling any panel work then I'd probably fit it.

Mine came with a bracket, get in touch with tsr, they were very helpful when mine was missing the standard (non ts1) barrel fitting

Thanks for all of that. I have since spoken to Ron Moss, whom I got the pipe from (I was originally going to have one of his modified AF pipes, but they were unavailable. I have fitted an Avanti kit and got everything through Ron to make sure it is set up right) and he has advised me not to fit the bracket at the end as they can prove troublesome.
Will wait to see how it all pans out.

I bought an evo of Darrel and he advised not to fit end can bracket as more likely to cause snapping I think. He did point out that if rear spring incorrectly set this would cause rear leg support to hit and damage exhaust pipe.

sorry to hijack this thread! My question is sort of linked.......I have just bought a Franspeed pipe, secondhand, and this has come without the rear bracket. It obviously has one as the nylon mount and bolt are attached to the end can. Can anyone post a photo of the required bracket, and where it attaches, so I can copy it?

Can andy francis not supply you with one ? Basically it is an angled bracket that has 3 spacer tubes and long bolts and fits on 3 holes round rear of case. Hole in angled bracket that bolt fits in and bolts tailcan bracket and bobbin to it. Sure someone who knows how to upload pics will help out with a pic.
