Yet another SIP question

I beginning to loose the will to live trying the get a sensible reading on my SIP 2 speedo using an external sensor. I have the sensor aligned to pick up the pulse from the front wheel studs and the little blue light flashes off as a stud passes the sensor 4 times per revolution. I measured the type circumference of the tyre (1325mm) and input that figure on screen 3 and 4 pulses on screen 1. The speedo works but seriously under reads. There is a setting on screen 3 that I think is to do with the speedo drive gear ratio but there is no mention of what it should be set for when using an external pick up

I tried a few random settings which do seem to affect it but generally make the problem worse

Any suggestions??

I think most problems are down to the poorly written and confusing instructions all written up in a booklet only slightly larger than a book of stamps

Why not try the pick up that goes into the drive for the speedo cable?
It converts the linear drive into a signal,and that is it.Sounds simple to me.

Id guess use a GPS app or satnav to find the margin of error.
Say 50% then increase your wheel measurements by X2 to correct.
I doubt the maths would be that easy but you get the idea
Sometimes its easier to work around a problem than solving it.

That is a possibility that someone on FB suggested as I now realise that SIP have completely confused the issue by using 2 different external systems.

Colin...... If your speedo is registering a speed when the bike is running on the stand then this is typically an RFI problem generated by your ignition.
If I use a Non resistor spark plug on mine, I can make it do 125MPH....... in the Garage!
Just make sure the action of your engine isn't corrupting the display before messing with the pulses per mile setting.
