Afternoon Gents, looking for some guidance, Have a Rapido 225 race with a Franspeed supertourer and 30mm PHBH Dell orto...after setting up the carb with the ball mark jettings and adjusting the Primary drive seeing as I was told its undergeared, Im still getting no joy and it struggles badly going off and up hills, as if im starting in 3rd or 4th....settings are as followed

Franspeed super tourer
Main 130
pilot 55
choke 70 Needle x7 2nd clip from top
Atomiser AV266
SLIDE 40

Primary from the standard 18 x 47 to 19 x 46 with Indian GP200 Gear box

hoping someone would point me in the right direction if its gearing ??? or jetting ??? also...How to different the Needles from Lean and Rich...is it to do with the length of taper....Thanks for your help

You've made your gearbox "taller", effectively turning your final drive from 5.11 to 4.95........which means it will struggle more up hills.

Your carb settings look about right.

What is your ignition set at ? you could be to far retarded.

Might be worth a Dyno session ?

Needles vary considerably.....length of taper, thickness of taper, etc
