Hi Guys

I don't have the parts I need to hand yet to check myself so I hope you can help.

I am planning an engine that will be using a TS1 225 top end with a 58 stroke 110mm rod. My intention is to lower the barrel in effect by using a thinner spacer under the barrel than the extra rod length amount.

MB suggests that having the piston level with the bottom of the transfers is a good idea for a touring tune but no port map that I have seen shows the dimension of the bottom of the transfers from the top of the barrel.

What I am especially trying to work out is if the piston will pop out of the top or not ?

Did you mean 107 Conrod ?

I meant a 110 mm rod ( now edited my post )

You have lengthened the conrod by 3mm, if you dont put all of that 3mm in the base gasket, it needs to be somewhere... so it goes to the cylinder head...

The great benefit of this is that you can get the piston where you want at BDC, and get the squish you want at TDC just by using gaskets...

If you want more of a touring tune, the addition of the 60mm crank with the 110 rod give more torque again....
