Problems selecting 4th

So I replaced the worn Indian 150 box I had in my small block with a new Indian 200 gearbox. Shimmed and set up with no significant issues, but I'm finding that there's a pseudo neutral between 3rd and 4th, and 4th doesn't engage well at all.
Anyone else had this? I think I'm going to have to drop the engine again....

Before you do anything, just check that the you haven’t caught the loose end of the gear cable when fixing the rear shock back on. A trapped cable is easier to rectify than a gear box strip.

Thanks Knowledge - I've checked and that's all ok. I think it may be the selector arm as it feels as though its as far back as it can go yet isn't engaging 4th. I'll try moving it a notch to see whether that cures it tonight.
