I know in the instructions it says set the stator to 17deg at max revs, but as you dont ride st max revs all the time,is just before 17deg ok ? Does the box stay at 17deg as you rev higher, or keep on retarding? Its fitted to a TS1 and is at 6500 at 17 at the moment.

I have an Agusto 6000. I strobe it so that it is 17 at my most probable cruising speed that I will be holding onto for long periids without a break This equates to about 5500 rpm. It starts life at a tad over 23 and is at 17 at 5500 and goes on to its most retarded of 16 degrees.

Set it so it is around 16-17 degrees at high revs, and try riding it. You can't do any harm at that setting. See if it make the scooter a better ride. If it feels better, the leave it alone.

The real benefit of the Agusto is in the earlier spark during the low revs, so don't concern yourself too much with what happens at higher revs, as long as it is safe (i.e. 17 degrees).

(I had a 6000 and liked it, but was surprised how much better it was when I used an 8000. I would never have tried an 8000 under normal circumstances, as I assumed it was for racing engines only. However, try the 6000 while you have it available and it still might be perfect for your tune)
