Hi Level shocker worries?

I purchased a chrome 4 setting adjustable Hi level rear shocker at the Cleethorpes rally for my AF as an upgrade to my failed Escort shocker. It seemed well made an retro enough for my requirements. I fitted it for Shipston and adjusted it prior to leaving and also at Shipston with a c spanner borrowed off Bristol Daz as the shockers don't come with one according to the dealer. The ride was so bouncy it was scary and going into corners was a joke. I borrowed another spanner and have adjusted it to its firmest setting and took her for a test ride. It's still absolutely dire. Now I'm not the lighjtest of folk at 17 and a half stone, but this shocker was even bouncy when I gave it to my mate to try as hes far lighter than me. It wasn't as bad but was still very poor. Even two up on any other shocker hasn't been anything like this. I have had Ray at AF re bush nmy Escorts one and am putting that back on for Malton this weekend. Just wondered if anyone has had the same issues or even used one of these shockers, cheers,Speedy.

Speedy - I've put a black one on my S2 but its untested as bike not finished - can't find the time at minute.

Sat on the bike it doesn't seem to bad but we'll see when it gets ridden.

If I had time I would have put it on sx and tried it to malton but at work til late today and then off to work on bike tomoorow and straight off.

I bought it for the same reason as you - traditional style with some adjustment.

I complained when no c spanner came with and the dealer sent one FOC and they now state that they DO NOT come with one

See you friday for a moan !
