Does an original Italian GP horn grill have any identifiable marks to show as genuine.

I have a few original GP metal horn grills and from memory they have a number cast into them - I think most of mine have the number 2 - will have a look and confirm.
The later plastic grills have no identifying marks as far as I have seen

Thank you for the reply. I bought one a few years ago from a dealer.
I attempted to fit it over the weekend but the holes in grill a slightly different to horncast.
Mine has what appears to be a number 1.

Sounds like an original grill. Sometimes the horncasting can need to be 'persuaded' so that the holes line up.....

As humble says. Horncastings often twist so a little persuasion sometimes needed or put the next drill size ( half a mil) through grill holes. Surprising what a difference it can make

Thank you for the replies.
The holes on the grill and hot cast are different distance apart.
