Falbo S1/2 mudguard embellisher

Ive seen a n.o.s one with the centre strips painted blue, question is are these left like this or is it more the norm to paint them the same colour as bodywork?

Normally as is , but if you wish to colour coordinate Andy why not, personally wouldn't

Looking at one and thinking about it but havent seen it in the metal and unsure of the fixings. Wouldnt drill the mudguard but do have some very strong industrial grade double sided tape. Needs rechroming, n.o.s but not great plating..
