A handful of two of pea-shingle will help shift any loose rust too

Once looking clean blast the insides with a jet wash,hold your foot or it will skid across the floor![]()
Look inside with torch to see how clean it is.
Important to dry out the inside with either compressed air or a hot air gun,any trace of fuel should be long gone.
If you have a cement mixer wrap the tank on the wifes best coatand put in the mixer for a while
