Legshield rubber clip

Postby rossclark » Wed Jun 10, 2015 1:12 am

Anyone got a picture of the clip used to secure the lower end of the legshield trim on SIl leggies?

Hi,
Is it a photo of the clip that holds the rubber in place.
Cheers

Ah, thanks, so there one of those at the top and at the footboard end, is that in addition to the shark tooth?

There should be a P type clamp above the Sharks tooth that holds the beading on but can't find them on Resto's site.

I suspected it might look as horrible as that.

On the leggies I've fitted temporarily to my GP the rubber and the Sharks tooth don't meet ( crap far eastern I suspect). They don't even have all the holes for the footboard strips and those that there are are in the wrong place..but they are temporary so I might just throw a small black tie wrap round to hold it in place till I can get the original ones sorted.

Im confused now as you were asking for the Series 2 type in your first post and then it''s moved onto a GP?

Certainly the ones posted by kennystag are the right type, however that ebay seller is selling rubbish badly remade crap frankly as they are in fact the completely wrong shape.

Sorry, no it should read 'SIL'.

I couldn't find them on the restos site either, which is usually my first point for all things Indian, but gaz has come through.

These crap legshields I have (temp while I get mine repaired and painted) dont seem to want to hold the rubber on and the sharksteeth aren't even close to holding it in place. I read in Sticky's book that there should be an extra clamp on SIL legshields and that they're drilled for this and these ones are. So meantime as they're hopefully going to be very short term I've used tie wraps which you wont really see under the mats ( mats - because runners won't fit either - none of the holes are in the right places - except the ones with the tie wraps in  )
