Hi All,
I have just fitted electronic ignition on my GP, But the lights have a slight flicker front and back lights stop light also, Any ideas what’s going on.

could be the regulator......lots of guess work involved with Lambretta electrics
Running AC only you normally get a flicker at low rev's which stabilise as the rev's increase.
Going full DC is the way forward......

Hi Kenny,
Connect a 55watt car headlamp to the stator output it should shine brightly, proving the stator can handle a load.If it is flickering then fault on stator ,possibly earth rivets
loose,otherwise fault on scoot..... bad contacts or bad earth.

Agree it won't be the CDI, ignition circuit should be completely separate unless you've got a short or nipped the wires on the stator.
It's normal to have a flicker on AC systems at tickover but it should even out when you rev it up a bit. If it still flickers when you rev it suspect loose connections or bad earths.

Hi All,
Thanks for all the replies, I have checked it all out, the problems is in the stator, if it is a problem, lose wire bad connection, I will have a look at the stator later and keep all informed.
