fitting an ignition switch to my S2

Postby Watfordwhite » Tue Aug 09, 2016 9:59 am

I want to fit an ignition switch to my late S2 instead of the cut out. I have a Beedspeed elec loom, 3 wire. Has anybody done this and any advise before I file the headset?

I did it on my indian s2 - hardly had to file anything out - just offer it up and take your time

I had to rework some of the wiring but it was nt difficult from memory.

As Gaz says it should fit almost straight in, scootopia one tend to be a little bigger. You only need to wire up the green wire to use the switch for security.

I found the switch itself to be thick steel and I filed /ground the switch rather than the housing, also some have a very thick rubber cover that all add to the bulk on the rear size, the hole at the front is the easy bit
