Can anyone tell me What the difference is between an AC & a DC ignition switch (apart from the obvious)?

DC should have the facility for a parking light, which is powered by a battery, when the scooter is not running and therefore should have a a DC feed wire in to the switch from the battery.

DC should go>
parking lights (key can be removed)
off (key can be removed)
on
on with side lights
on with main lights

AC should be>
off (key can be removed)
on
on with side lights
on with main lights
