Running in speed/mileage

I've just had a rebore and new piston for my 200, anyone got the best guidance for speed /mileage running in

Like riding a geared push bike. Don't labour in high gears and make your legs ache. Let the engine run free and the moment you hear/feel/sense the engine start to sound like it's under too much load, then change down.
It's not the revs or the speed. 30 mph in 4th on an incline will place a load on the engine that may lead to premature failure.
Check spark plug and make sure it's on the dark side.

I think you have to "nurse" your scoot throught this difficult period.
As said before dont let it labour, take it easy and go slowly. Think of this time as "getting to know" your scoot - every gear change, every increase in revs you need to be at one with the machine.
After 500 miles you can open up a little. By this time you should know the sound of the machine and what it will take.
Hope this isnt too "romantic", but im currently watching a travel programme about Italy and am feeling the love!

Try not to ride at a constant steady speed, much better going up and down through gears, warming up/cooling down. Country roads and plenty of stop/starts would be better than motorways.

1st hundred miles to bed your rings in then, as said, take it easy for 500, after that start giving longer bursts of speed until you feel comfortable.

Agree with other posters, for the first hundred miles or so stay in town with plenty of gear changes. Not easy if you live in the middle of nowhere though

And if the scenery isn't much to look at over and over again, running in is boring !!!

& if you do get a steady incline keep blipping your throttle slightly to give more fuel, but like the previous anwers said change down if it starts to labour BUT DONT wring its kneck...........
