Scooter is becoming more difficult to start in the mornings.
First kick she fires once or twice then dies then it's either 20-30 kicks or a bump to get her going.
Once warmed up she's grand, goes well, ticks over well, plug colour fine.
Changed rings recently and found the old ones were a bit gummed up and one was just over the gap limit so thought that would've been the problem but it's still the same.
Where should I start looking first?

Hi Marty
+1 on the choke
If you remove bellows and hold a piece of cardboard over the carb Venturi to act as a choke and it starts ok I would strip and clean carb paying particular attention to rubber seal on choke plunger if it's a Delly or Jetex

Hi Lam1962brettagg
If the rubber seal on the bottom of the choke plunger has disintegrated and is blocking the choke jet.

I wonder what fixed it?

Haven't had a look at it yet, been too busy playing with my series1.
Wondering if having too big a float jet (300 in a 25mm carb) might be causing it to flood?
