Fitting kickstart pedal

Postby WOO » Thu May 10, 2018 6:09 pm

LI 125 1960 series 2 conversion to 175
I am trying to fit a casa series 2 kickstart pedal and am unsure about the number of circlips to use.
Is it shim then circlip then pedal then circlip.
It is also extremely tight push on the shaft is it advisable to open up the pedal a bit
thanks

It's shim then circlip then pedal....only one circlip involved.

Use a large screw driver hammered just far enough into the split to open it sufficient to slip on the splines. You will need to engage the tooth slightly too far anti-clockwise from the stop. Push the pedal on only part way then rotate so the tang is clear of the stop and tap it on all the way.
